Tours exploring South & North Uist can be arranged
Each tour is conducted by Dave a Qualified Resident Archaeologist and includes transport in a Land Rover 110 which is fully insured and licensed for private hire. The Land Rover is thoroughly sanitized for each tour in accordance with Government guidelines. We have also been approved by Visit Scotland’s Good to Go accreditation.
You will be picked up from your specified location and returned at the end of your tour.
The Western Isles have significantly changed in the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods the landscape you see today, for example, the area around the Callanish complex of stone circles, standing stones, and burial cairns, stands out for experiencing various modifications I will describe the changes and help put you back into the Neolithic and Bronze Age landscape.

Could you have lived in an Iron Age Broch, or a Norse type Mill? Look listen and explore as I take you back in time. Visit old Chapels or wander around a Deserted Township. Continue your journey through the past as you go on a historical guided walk of Bosta the township encompassing Blackhouses, Norse type Mills, Corn Driers and traces of the kelping industry.
Maybe you would like to visit some of the Island’s sandy Beaches or visit Lewis only Whisky Distillery Abhainndearg.
Many places are not well marked as a result so remain unvisited. A Private Guided Tour is recommended to find the islands secretive hidden historical places, helping you to achieve a clearer insight into the Islands wealth of archaeology and culture.
